Following on from the Easter 1916 Aquatic Carnival at Dunethin Lake, the second season opened with a swim at Cotton Tree, at which the following females participated:

  1. 12 year old Lily Anderson,
  2. Violet Deans,
  3. Mary and Laura Jarrett; both of whom also participated in the Boxing Day Carnival to follow,
  4. 9 year old May, 13 year old Lily and 15 year old Elsie Venning, and
  5. the Youngman girls, Edie, Gertrude and Mary


At the second swim at Cotton Tree...

  1. 18 year old Hilma Anderson (married 2 years later to Harold Weston), and also swam in the New Years Day Carnival.
  2. 20 year old Christina Anderson,
  3. Ivy Jarrett,
  4. Dolly Sherwell, while
  5. Mrs Wells, and
  6. Mrs Weston and daughter Maud were also involved in the swimming.


At the third swim...


  1. Emily Youngman swam.


Closing out 'the season', Esther Ambrose, and the Perren girls Maud (who married Nugget Evans) and Millie, appeared at the 6th swim at Cotton Tree, while a Doris Sherwell (Dolly?) turned out for the Coolum Ck Carnival.
